Relativity

I look down on the street,

in a pile of mud she sits,

a child in her arms,

all bones, skin barely fits.

She looks up towards my building,

on a cane-chair I sit,

a spaniel in my lap,

cigar in my mouth, lit.

@ dhruv- i still feel pebbles is a notch higher...

@ kanika- ummm...well for me its not all about sympathizing with the woman really...its about understanding two different worlds that are almost bound to exist...sympathy comes when you are happy with where you are...and am sure both the woman n the person have their own problems...dunno what made me say what i just did...

Sahil Chopra said...

@ kanika- rather...it might just be about both the people sympathizing with the other, if you get my point...

@ kanika- or it might be the case of the grass being greener on the other side... (well i know i have used extremes for relativity but then it was more about depicting two worlds in one as i said)

i believe d grass being greener on d oder side funda is applicable when there is a certain common base dat d 2 parties can b compared from..when a minimum choice is available 2 em both...but wen d contrast is so freakin stark...its very hard not 2 sympathise wid d woman...unless u r used to viewin everythin in life objectively n conplaicently...n fer dat 2 happen..u have to be inhumanly stoic..

@ kanika- agree with you there (about he difference being stark)...but then i still can view it in a few very different lights...that's how it was meant to be...maybe, i have failed...or maybe, its just you who has not been able to grasp the not so obvious...

a vanguard's perspective: the cigar man's wondering, "WTF! I think I used protection!" :D

@sahil- listen, the question of 'failin' arises only when u want to impose a certain interpretation on one n all...after layin down an objective account of a spectacle, u cant do much really..the rest is upto those who read it.*stretches* . u know exacly wat i mean now, so jus shuddup.
